We had our big extravaganza-lalapalooza-firstie-fabulous field trip today. We went to the zoo AND the children's museum. It was an over the top, crazy exhausting, sunshine blinding day. Since the kids all get to walk around with their chaperons, my teammate (and emotional anchor) Maren and I got to spend the day reflecting together in the sun. Who could ask for me than that?

No one got lost. No one forgot their lunch. No one got eaten by lions or witnessed monkeys doing unfavorable things with their privates (why, oh why, do they ALWAYS do that when you bring small children to see them? Little freaky hairy exhibitionists. Sick). 

It was a successful day.

I've been thinking about those little monkeys. They make me a little uncomfortable, to be honest. And do you know what makes me REALLY uncomfortable? Sock monkeys.
